THE TEDWOODS WAY

Our workshop is based in Norfolk, where cabinet-maker Tim specialises in creating bespoke fitted furniture offered throughout East Anglia and beyond.

Since everything is designed, hand-crafted, fitted and finished by Tim himself in-house, every Tedwoods piece of furniture is created with a personal, hands-on approach and a thoughtful process that makes for quality, high-end pieces built to last.

OUR PROCESS

Each and every Tedwoods project is custom-designed around the character of your home, optimising your space to suit the way you live. We like to take the journey with you, so we've made it clear, simple and easy to follow. Take a look below at our process for step-by-step information from submitting your enquiry through to installation day.

Step-By-Step

To request a quote, simply submit your project enquiry here and Sadie from our team will be in touch to guide you through our process. We’ll gather some further detail and get an insight into the requirements of your build - things like basic measurements, how you’d like your Tedwoods fitted furniture to function and if you have any inspiration or visual references of your space to work from.

Next Step...

We’ll then provide you with a preliminary quote for your bespoke Tedwoods project. Spray finished in a colour of your choice, we can tailor your piece to any specification with custom features such as LED lighting, wood veneer internals, mirror panels etc. to ensure your piece functions perfectly within your space.

Next Step...

When you’re ready to move forward, we’d love to see what we’re working with! And so a site visit, at the cost of £300 based in Norfolk/Suffolk (outside of these regions would be discussed at first point of contact), is a great opportunity for Tim to come up with some creative ideas and uncover ways to optimise your space. Working with you and understanding the way you live, Tim will talk through the design, take accurate measurements and bring along some material samples so you can get an impression of how your finished Tedwoods piece will feel. Of course, the cost of the site visit is redeemable against the deposit of your project.

Next Step...

After perfecting his ideas, Tim will provide you with a final design document which includes a 3D CAD design of the project to visualise your Tedwoods piece in your home; as well as key features, specifications, a proposed production schedule and a complete quote. On acceptance of the quote, we’ll invoice you for 50% of the project fee as a deposit (minus your site-visit cost); Tim will start creating in the workshop and we'll book in a date that suits you for installation.

Now for the final step...

We’ll keep in touch whilst Tim’s busy in the workshop creating your custom piece by hand and just before your installation date we’ll give you a call to confirm days, times and access, along with those all-important finishing touches like hooks and handles. When the big day arrives, Tim will fit your bespoke Tedwoods piece into its new home and make sure it functions beautifully. The final balance of the project will be due on completion.
